RMN Classical Announces In Focus 5

LONDON, UK, Oct. 11, 2021 — RMN Classical is proud to announce “IN FOCUS 5,” the fifth volume of the successful editorial series In Focus. The new album will be released worldwide on Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, Google Music and all digital platforms on October 29, 2021.

The album wants to be a platform to promote and showcase composers and performers, selected among RMN Classical roster, and features works written for a variety of instruments and ensembles like string ensemble, solo instrument, solo instrument and electronics, piano solo, piano and electronics, oboe, saxophone, harpsichord electric guitar and more.

The composers featured in this release come from different countries, belong to different age groups, and have a very diverse background, giving the album originality and freshness that would otherwise be difficult to find.

All the composers listed in this release are previous winners of RMN Classical Call for Works and other competitions.

The works featured in this new volume include (in order of track-list):

1 – “Split for alto saxophone,” Composed by Robin Julian Heifetz, Performed by Griffin Campbell (professor of saxophone at Louisiana State University) 

2 – “Le forme del fuoco” for piano and alto saxophone, Composed by Daniele Ciminiello, Performed by Duo Carrozzo-Fasiello (Andrea Carrozzo, alto sax, Valeria Fasiello, piano)

3 -“Pomeranian Rhapsody” for harpsichord and oboe, Composed by Jan Emanuel Abras, Performed by Il Vento Ensemble (Katazyna Pilipiuk, oboe d’amore, Anna Huszczo, harpsichord)

4 – “Enclosing Skies” for accordion, Composed by Angela Elizabeth Slater, Performed by polish accordionist Kamila Olas

5 – “Sun of Orient Crimson with Excess of Light” for piano and electronics, Composed by Gráinne Mulvey, Performed by Isabelle O’Connell and Gráinne Mulvey

6 – “The Perpetuation of the Remembered” for electric guitar and electronics, Composed and performed by Julius Bucsis 

7 – “Confluences,” Composed by Paolo Geminiani, Performed by the Ned Ensemble;

8 – 9 “Canzone Angelica” and “Printemps” for solo piano, Composed by Per Christian Arnesen, Performed by pianist Fernando Cruz.

The album is produced by Rick Romano for RMN Classical and distributed by RMN Music.
