FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LONDON, UK, February 25, 2022 — RMN Classical is excited to announce that “CONCERTO TRIPLO FOR ELECTRIC GUITAR, PIANO, PERCUSSIONS, VIOLIN AND STRINGS” by Stefano Taglietti will be released worldwide on Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, Tidal, Pandora, Youtube Music and all digital platforms on MARCH 31st.

Recorded live at Auditorium del Parco, L’Aquila (Italy), the album is performed by I Solisti Aquilani Orchestra conducted by Marco Angius and featuring four solo players, Sergio Sorrentino (electric guitar), Ciro Longobardi (piano), Antonio Caggiano (percussions), and Daniele Orlando (violin). The release is produced by Rick Romano for RMN Classical and distributed worldwide by RMN Music.

Stefano Taglietti‘s compositional style is open to a variety of musical materials, from ancient to modern music, passing through African, Oriental, blues, punk, jazz, and folk, which he filters to obtain music that combines different languages in one, syncretic and plural.

“Writing for such outstanding performers has undoubtedly been one of the most exciting experiences in recent years,” says composer Stefano Taglietti.

“This is a work of synthesis, collection, transformation and emancipation of the different musical experiences that I have experimented with overtime” he continues, “The possibilities and perspectives of this score, in the contemporary musical panorama, are included in the instrumental research and the possible cultural connections we are experiencing.”

I Solisti Aquilani Orchestra’s Artistic Director Maurizio Cocciolito says “It has been an intense experience, with extraordinary performers such as Angius, Caggiano, Longobardi, Sorrentino and our first violinist Daniele Orlando. Taglietti’s music was strong, decisive and rhythmic, and he was able to give the solo instruments colours and voices that highlighted all the timbral and structural potential of each. A complex but very well-constructed work that thrilled all the performers in this marvellous adventure.”

Orchestra Conductor Marco Angius says “The project for Stefano Taglietti’s Concerto Triplo, which I was involved in as musical director after an important experience in Montepulciano for the work on Pasolini, marks the continuity of a collaboration with a truly authentic composer of considerable artistic depth, who confronts the present in a direct way and without ideological or mannerist filters.”

Label Director Rick Romano says “RMN Classical is extremely proud and thrilled about the release of Taglietti’s Concerto Triplo – a major contemporary work performed by some of the finest Italian musicians, recorded live at one of the main Italian auditoriums and conducted by the astonishing Marco Angius – overall an album of undeniable richness and depth that we are sure will build a big following in the contemporary scene.”
