RMN Classical is excited to announce “CHORAL & ORCHESTRAL WORKS”, the new album by international composer Brian Field. Produced by Rick Romano, the album will be distributed by RMN Classical and released worldwide on all the digital platforms and outlets on October 15, 2020. The track-list consists of twelve works that explore mysticism and life’s memories and includes instrumental and choral works for large orchestra and also for ensemble.
The opening track, “Nine, Four by Four,” is a jazz-flavored instrumental track and is followed by a section of choral works based on English text. “Shiva Tandava”, a piece for large orchestra, unlocks an exotic mysticism and completes the first part of the album. The second section of the release is comprised of choral works, this time based on Latin text.
“Beatitudines,” sees the conjunction of choir and large orchestra, and is followed by two tracks for choir and organ that close the Latin section. The final track, a gospel-like song, “Sweet Forgiveness,” closes the album in a coda-like style.
“I am thrilled to release this compilation of twelve works showcasing some of my more recent choral and large scale instrumental and orchestral works”, Field says. “Apart from the opening, jazz-influenced “Nine, Four by Four,” the works in this compilation embrace and celebrate the mystical. In many cases, these are mystical elements of faith and in others, the secular, though equally mystical reflections of life and memory.”
Featured on the album are the performances of renowned musicians, ensembles and orchestras including the Budapest Symphonic Orchestra and Choir conducted by Péter Illényi, the Composers’ Choir conducted by Daniel Shaw, the Lviv Philharmonic Society & Chorus conducted by Ferdinando Nazzaro and Heelan Chorale conducted by John Flannery.
