Rick NEWS, RMN CLASSICAL

RMN CLASSICAL – LONDON, UK

For immediate release
London – April 1st, 2020

RMN Classical launches a new editorial line announcing the release of its first volume titled In FocusThe new line will be dedicated to highlighting successful composers as well as new promises and emerging voices. The first volume will be released worldwide next May, 7th 2020.

The composers featured in this new series are entirely selected among RMN Classical existing roster of published creators and artists. The label believes that many deserve to be seen, heard, and known more because of their talent, their ideas, and because of their past achievements.

All the composers are in fact winners of prestigious international competitions and awards or professors and lecturers in prestigious academies – if not even both. Those who are considered more “emerging” have, in reality, already proven their skills and talent winning prizes at international competitions, and have seen their works performed and promoted by known names of the classical world with premieres in prestigious arenas, venues and concert halls. Names such as Ascanio Quartet and Ensemble-Mise-EN along with others, are featured in the first release of the series, and the full track-list includes:

1. Here and Now, for Bass Flute and Tape
composed by Andrián Pertout
Peter Sheridan (bass flute)

2. The Horses, for piano and soprano
composed by Ion Marmarinos, lyrics by Ted Hughes (by courtesy of Faber and Faber Ltd.)

The works are written for a variety of instruments and ensembles like string quartet, mixed ensemble, solo instrument and electronics, piano solo, and piano and voice. The quality of the writing and the ideas showcased in the first release is proof of the artistic direction taken by the current creators. The performances, as expected by featuring such respected names, don’t miss to surprise the listener and the recordings, including both live and studio takes, confirm that the live audience still enjoys the genre and the style.
