Vitantonio Caroli
Vitantonio Caroli (Bari, Italy, 1982) graduated in piano with 10/10, Laudae and Mention at the Conservatory “N.Piccinni” – Bari, and in Solo Piano Performance with 110/110 ‘Cum Laude’. He also holds a diploma in Electronic Music, in Instrument Teaching, in Vocal Chamber Music (110 with honours); in Chamber Music (110 with honours); he studied in the masterclass “The Solo Performer and the Artistic Performance” (annual course 1500 hours, with the presence of internationally renowned teachers, A. Ciccolini, B. Aprea, M. Abbado, P. Rattalino) and two annual Masters at the European University of Rome, as well as a 1500-hour course on Continuing Teacher Education. He perfected his studies by attending courses with several prestigious professors, such as F. Scala, S. Perticaroli, J. Achucarro, E. Picht Axenfeld, and the Trio Altenberg (Vienna). He also attended the master class with the famous Russian concert artist Lilya Zilberstein at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena.
He performs as a soloist and in ensemble for various musical associations in various theatres in Italy (Bari Fondazione Piccinni, Petruzzelli, Ortona, Termoli, L’Aquila, Manfredonia, Tropea, Riva del Garda, Assisi, Pinerolo, Cassino, Otranto, Martina Franca), and abroad in France, Paris – Ecole Normale de Musique – Alfred Cortot , Belgium, Brussels – Bell’Arte Fondation, Switzerland, Sion – Théatre de Valère, Eglise des Jésuites. He has performed as a soloist under the direction of F. Lentini, R. Campanale, C. Anastasi, V. Paternoster, E. Castrignano. His concerts always receive wide appreciation from critics and audiences. He has also received invitations to perform at the Conservatorio Pergolesi in Fermo (AP) and the Conservatorio Duni in Matera (MT).
Vitantonio Caroli pays particular attention to some less explored and difficult pages of the repertoire, among which the famous The Great Sonata for hammers piano Op. 106 by Beethoven, La Sonata Nr. 3 by Szymanowski, Casella, and the complete works by Respighi.
Judged and awarded by Rivera, Fiorentino, Hintchev, Bogino, Marvulli, Vitantonio is the winner of national and international competitions: 1st Absolute Prize at the “Carlo Vitale” – Fasano competitions, 1st Prize “Città di Casamassima”, 1st Absolute Prize “Strawinsky” 2009 both in the soloist and orchestra section and in the chamber section, 1st Prize at the City of Ortona, 1st Absolute Prize at the “Rotary Club Teramo 2006 and 2007” competition, 1st Prize “Città di Giovinazzo”; 1st Absolute Prize at the “Don Matteo Colucci” competition in Fasano 2001, 1st Prize at the European “P.Argento” of Gioia del Colle 2004, 1st Prize at the International Competition “Città di Massafra” 2004, First Absolute at the IX International Competition “Don Vitti” 2010 Castellana Grotte (Bari), Third Prize at the Piano Competition “Mauro Paolo Monopoli” 2010 – Barletta, with the distinguished Polish master Andrei Jasinskj as jury president; and with final rehearsal at the ‘Curci’ Theater playing Chopin’s Concerto for piano and orchestra op.11 n ° 1.
Member of the jury in national and international music competitions, Caroli has always been interested in musical research and contemporary music, actively collaborating with living composers and participating in anthologies of contemporary music like the album Miniatures vol. 1 published by Soundiff , in which he recorded works by international composers such as Vera Ivanova and Benjamin Nuzzo. He has also recorded music by F. Chopin and R. Schumann for Soundiff.
