Gianluca Barragato
Gianluca Barragato is a freelance composer with a Master Degree in Classical music from the Conservatory of Genova, Italy. He studied instrumentation, orchestration and composition.
Music composition occupies the most of his artistic energies and he spent his time publishing his works, creating music for theatre and participating in international composition competitions.
He has received numerous awards, mentions and prizes.
His musical references go from Bartòk and Prokoviev to Led Zeppelin, from Poulenc to African polyrhythms, melted with Italian style. Traces and influences from Jazz and Pop can be heard on his music as well as well.
He is especially interested in classical, jazz and contemporary music, writing specifically for chamber ensembles, and small orchestra, carrying out musical projects, live performances and publications of CDs.
