Antonio Fraioli
Antonio Fraioli (1966) graduated in Clarinet and Jazz studies at the “Ottorino Respighi” Conservatoire in Latina (Italy) under the guidance of Prof. Giuseppe Magliocca, Prof. Mauro Zazzarini and Prof. Francesco Belli. Between 1988 and 1991 he joined the specialization courses led by Prof. Antony Pay in Sermoneta and at the Accademia Superiore Internazionale di Musica “Lorenzo Perosi” in Biella (Italy). He also attended a two-year postgraduate course titled Music at “Tor Vergata” University in Rome and another postgraduate course titled Donne, Politica ed Istituzioni (Women, Politics and Institutions) at “La Sapienza” University in Rome, submitting a thesis on Le pari opportunità nel mondo della musica (Equal Opportunities in the Music World).
In 1994 he was awarded a single first prize among the wind instrumentalists in the third Edition of T.I.M. – Torneo Internazionale di Musica (an international competition that takes place in different European cities).
He performs regularly in Italy as well as abroad (Germany, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Holland, Poland, US, Canada) both as a soloist and as a member of various ensembles. He recorded for Tactus, Edipan, EurArte, Duchesne Liegi (Belgium), Accademia Italiana del Clarinetto, Agenda Edizioni Musicali, Musica Viva, AFM Roma, and played for Rai-RadioTre, Rai-TV1, Radio Nacional de Espana, Radio Vaticana, Troy University Public Radio (US), WOMR Radio (US), Radio Cemat and Punto Radio.
He has written compositions, transcriptions, revisions and arrangements that have been performed and recorded on CDs and DVDs in Italy, US, Canada, England, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Holland, Poland, Norway, Turkey, Spain, Greece, Armenia, Israel, Argentina and Colombia, which have been published by VigorMusic, Edizioni Musicali Eufonia, Potenza Music (US), Accademia Italiana del Clarinetto, L’Oca del Cairo, Ut Orpheus Edizioni and EurArte.
He is Professor of Music for Wind Ensembles at the “Giuseppe Martucci” Conservatoire in Salerno (Italy), vice president of the Accademia Italiana del Clarinetto (Italian clarinet Academy) and has taught various music subjects in several masterclasses and conferences in Italy, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Netherland, Slovakia, Portugal, Estonia, and Spain.
He is also the author and the presenter of several TV and radio programmes dedicated to music.
