RickNEWS, RMN CLASSICAL

Press Release / For immediate release
London (UK), 27 August 2019

RMN Classical is excited to announce its new project: Call for Electroacoustic Works 2020.

With this opportunity, RMN Classical aims to discover contemporary music composers that create original works using electronics – and all its ramifications – in innovative ways. RMN Classical mission is to promote talented composers and outstanding productions that would otherwise remain under the radar.

This opportunity is addressed and opened to any composer regardless of age and country of residence.

This project is ideal for those composers – at various stage of their career, both up and coming and established academics – that would like to see their work published in a contemporary music album specifically produced to showcase and promote contemporary music.

The track(s) submitted are intended to be mainly of electronic music and can include real acoustic instruments with live processing of sound, voices or percussions. The works can have jazz, pop rock, world or other influences and flavours but please note that works should mainly be based in the field of contemporary electronic music.

The winners will be featured in an album release produced by RMN Classical released worldwide through RMN Music. This release will be distributed on a high-quality edition on all the available platforms among which Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, Pandora and many others. The composers will retain the copyright in their work and will get a share of the sales of the album. The release and all the winning works will also be added to the Sound and Music Archive of the prestigious British Library (London, UK).

In addition, RMN Music is happy to include high-quality design of the cover artwork, licensing and copyright clearance. Additionally, there will be the opportunity for synchronisation and licensing (tv and media), and optionally, depending on demand, physical distribution and manufacturing of the album will also be considered.

The deadline will be November 24, 2019, and the application fee will be divided into discounted Early Bird fee (ending October 13, 2019) and Regular fee (ending November 24, 2019).

Applications will be through the Application Form and each applicant can participate with more than one work. The required material should include: the recording, the score (where available), notes about the composition, composer’s biography and a small photo of the composer.
