Yu-Chung Tseng


Photo-of-Yu-Chung-Tseng-webDr. Yu-Chung Tseng is a professor of electronic music composition at the Institute of Music at National Yang-Ming Chiao Tung University in Taiwan.

His music has been recognized with selection/awards from Bourges Competition (Finalist, 2005), Pierre Schaeffer Competition (1st Prize in 2003, 3rd Prize in 2007), Cittàdi Udine Competition (Finalist, 2006), Musica Nova Competition (1st Prize in 2010, Mention award in 2009, Mention award in 2012), Metamorphoses Competition (Finalist in 2006, 2008, 2010), ICMC 2011 Asia-Oceania Regional Best Music Award and ICMC 2015 Asia-Oceania Regional Best Music Award.

Dr Tseng’s works have also received many performances at festivals and conferences, including ICMC (16 times selected), Musicacoustica (China, Beijing), SICMF (Korea, Soul), EMW (China, Shanghai), Schumann Festival (Germany, Dusseldorf), ACL(Japan, Israel, Singapore, Philippine, Taiwan), Musica Nova (Czech, Prague), Taiwan-France Exchange (Bordeaux, Hans, Pairs) and Chengdu International Electronic Music Festival..etc. His music can be heard on labels including CDCM (U.S.A.), Discontact iii (Canada), Pescara (It.), Contemporanea (It.), Metamorphoses (Belgium), SEAMUS (USA), KECD2 (Demark), Musica Nova (Czech), ICMC 2011 DVD and ICMC 2015 CD.
