Winner Announcement: RMN Classical 1st International Competition for Composers 2018

It is with great enthusiasm and overwhelming excitement that RMN Classical is proud to announce the Winner of the 1st International Competition for Composers. The project, that recently closed its entries and applications, was launched to stimulate and inspire the creation of new contemporary and experimental works for the electric guitar, an instrument that in the past decades has been investigated more and more by many well-established composers outside the popular genres and styles.

We were staggered by the quality and the creativity of the compositions received, filled with brilliant, innovative and interesting ideas, and we’re really glad to have discovered talented composers from around the world.

Due to the excellent level of the works submitted, the selection process has been challenging, but after numerous discussions, we are happy and excited to announce the name of the winner:

The Winner of the 1st International Competition for Composers is
Ayal Adler with Chase

A Special Mention to:
Amy Brandon with Split
Matthew Grouse with Etude

The Jury Committee:
Sergio Sorrentino, guitarist, composer
Rick Romano, label director, composer, producer

The winning work will be performed and recorded by Award Winning guitarist Sergio Sorrentino and it will be included in an upcoming release that will also feature works for electric guitar written by major composers. We want to sincerely congratulate with the Winner for his success and wish him success for his career.

Once more, RMN Classical wants to deeply and truly thank all the gifted composers who took part in this project for their awe-inspiring and incredible works.
