In Limine (Music for solo violin, Contemporary collection vol.1) is the first release for Rmn Music Classical Contemporary catalogue. Six contemporary composers have been chosen to create new music for Violin solo. The player, Carmine Marcello Rizzi, professor of violin in italian conservatories, one of the most emerging violin player in Italy, performed the pieces while N.Monopoli is the recording and mixing engineer.
The selected composer, from Noway, Australia and Italy, include Dagfinn Koch, Adrian Pertout, Paolo Geminiani, Gianni Giacomazzo, Riccardo Romano e Nicola Monopoli.
The result is a strong album, unified by a music able to grip the past linking it to the present, in which each composition, individually, shows abilities and skills of both the composer and the performer, and where the central point is not anymore on the old dispute between traditional harmony or avant-garde atonal. An enjoyable and sincere album that wants to reach the true music lovers and the professional ones as well.
