RMN Music is pleased to announce Chris Leyva and his two bands, Blizzard and Falling Doves as the newest addition to its roster. Leyva, a multi-faceted poli-instrumentalist, songwriter and arranger, combines the elements from the best rock ‘n’ roll while maintaining a sound that is unique, hard hitting and memorable.
Blizzard, was formed in 2002. In its brief existence has covered a lot of ground and flying just under the radar has been able to build a catalog and fan-base on their own terms. The Band has released six albums and during their career they have played more than 200 concerts, hitting 175 performances in 2007 alone. The band also has appeared on several episodes of TV Series Veronica Mars and in the 2006 film Surrender Dorothy, alongside Diane Keaton.
What to expect? Be ready for slashing Clash-like guitar riffs and Beatle-esque harmonies.
Falling Doves, the fresh new project of Chris, plays an exhilarating brand of high octane rock and roll, topped with a pop edge that keeps the songs ringing in your ears long after the last strum has been played. The four piece band, originally born to accompany Chris and his diverse songwriting catalog, is now comprised by Chris Leyva on guitar/vocals, Jason Knight on drums, Darcey Ciccone on bass/back up vocals and Mike Dorsey on lead guitar.
“The band may be led by me, but they are equal opportunity rockers, each involved from the writing to the production, each helping take Falling Doves to new levels.” C. Leyva.
What to expect? Whiskey laced vocals and lyrically confessional songs paired with an aggressive performing style.
