About The Call
We continue our series of calls with the launch of the Call for Electroacoustic Works 2020 - a project developed to give brilliant composers the opportunity to showcase their talent and works.
RMN Classical mission is to promote and nurture the contemporary music scene hoping to discover the next generation of composers that will craft tomorrow’s music…
We are looking for the next …Bartok, Ravel, Ligeti, Berio, Barber, Carter, Crumb…
This opportunity is open to composers (of any age and nationality) that creates electroacoustic and sound-art works - both live or studio - and would like to get the opportunity to see their work published in a contemporary music album produced to showcase and promote contemporary music.
The best works will be featured in a quality album that will be produced by RMN Classical and released worldwide through RMN Music. This release will be distributed on a high-quality edition on Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play Music, Amazon Music, and many other stores and platform. Optionally and based on demand there will be the possibility for physical distribution, synch and licensing opportunities and more (see below for full prize). The release and the winning works will be also added to the Sound and Music Archive of the prestigious British Library (London, UK).

The Prize
Professional Production of the Album
Commercial release through worldwide distribution

The composer keeps the rights of the work and master recording

How to Participate
ACCEPTED WORKS: Electroacoustic Works
For this project, electroacoustic is defined to include acousmatic, sound-art and any type of composition made with electronics or written for electronic only instruments. The work can include acoustic instruments, voices and percussions as well as live electronics or live processing.
Please note that we need the recording of the work for this call to qualify.
Both Live and Studio recordings are accepted.

Maximum duration: OPEN
There is no maximum duration. We strongly suggest and recommend to submit short and medium length works.
ACCEPTED GENRE:
Contemporary music no matter the genre or style (no jazz or pop please). The work can have jazz, pop, rock, world or other influences but should mainly be contemporary or experimental in the field of electronic music.
Multi.movement Works:
Multi-movement works can be submitted and will count as 1 work.
For collection of works application fee should be paid accordingly.
The system will automatically calculate the total for you after you select the number of works.
AGE / Nationality:
There are no formal restrictions and anyone regardless of age and country of residency can participate (minimum legal age of 18 required - if you are underage please get in touch before applying)
LIMITS
There is no limit to the number of recordings that you can submit. Please note that we will tend to select only one work per composer. In some circumstances we reserve the right to select more than one work (depending on quality of works and talent(s) ). If more than one work is submitted the Application Fee should be paid accordingly or participant will be disqualified.

WHAT TO SUBMIT:
A Link to a folder with the below material. The link should stay active for the whole duration of the Call and selection process. Accepted systems are Dropbox, Box, Google Drive and similar. No WeTransfer please.
The required material for every work submitted is:
- Recording in mp3
- Score in pdf (if available)
- Notes about the work in pdf/doc
- Notes about the composer (bio) pdf/doc
- Promotional photo of the composer.
