International Call for Scores for Piano Solo Works

RMN Classical is proud and excited to announce the Winners and Selected Composers of the Call for Scores for Piano Solo.

The number of pieces received for this Call has been incredibly high, with more than 130 submissions from all over the world: something unexpected, thus more than welcoming.

RMN Classical wants to deeply and truly thank all the skilled and brilliant composers who took part in this project for their incredible works.

The selection process has been more demanding than expected, because of the high number of the applications received and the exceptional level of the compositions submitted; but after a few discussions, RMN Classical is now excited to announce the winners:

Below the names of the 6 selected composers and works in alphabetical order:

Brian Cope, Étude No.3

Morgan Greenwood, Vessel in a Drift of Diamond Light in the Sky of the Mind

Andrew List, Shu The Egyptian Goddess of Cool Dry Air

Marco Molteni, Folio Cinque

Xu Tang, Mo

Amit Weiner, Anagram no 2

the Jury Committee Members

Jelena Makarova, pianist

Elif Nur Karlidag, composer, pianist

Riccardo Romano, composer, RMN Music Executive

The winning works will be performed live during the closing concerts on the Contemporary Workshop and Networking Events that will take place in London on November 18th and 25th 2017: a wonderful possibility for the selected composers to showcase their pieces as well as their composition skills. The concert program will include also works by Ligeti, Berio, Schonberg, Vine, Adams, Lachenman, Debussy and Scriabin.

Once more, our biggest Congratulation to all the Winners for their success.
