RMN Classical to Launch New Composers Opportunity to Discover Electroacoustic works

RMN Classical is excited to announce its first project for 2019 ahead of the New Year’s Eve: Call for Works Electroacoustic 2019

In the past three years the London label has released a series of albums to promote contemporary music in its various genres and forms, discovering new composers and performers through call for works and competitions.

With this new opportunity, RMN Classical aims to discover and nurture the contemporary music scene, by looking for those composers that create original and innovative electronic music compositions. RMN Classical’s goal is to promote talented composers and outstanding productions that would otherwise remain under the radar.

This opportunity is addressed and opened to any composer, regardless of age and country of residence, who owns recordings (both live or studio) of electronic, electroacoustic, acousmatic, sound-art music and similar genres.

This project is ideal to those composers that would like to get the chance to see their work published in a contemporary music album produced to showcase and promote contemporary music.

The tracks submitted are intended to be mainly of electronic music and can include real acoustic instruments with live processing of sound, voices or percussions. The works can have jazz, pop rock, world or other influences and flavours but please note that the works should mainly be based in the field of electronic or electroacoustic music.

For more info about what you can or cannot submit, please visit the Call Official Page.

As for all the previous projects, the winners will be featured in an album release that will be produced by RMN Classical and released worldwide through RMN Music. The release will be distributed on a high-quality edition on all the available platforms among which Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play Music, Amazon Music, Deezer and many others. The release and the winning works will also be added to the Sound and Music Archive of the prestigious British Library (London, UK).

In addition, RMN Music is happy to include in the prize a high-quality design of the cover artwork, chart registration in the USA, the UK, and Canada, licensing and copyright clearance and the composers will retain copyright of their work. There will be opportunity for synchronisation and licensing (tv and media), and optionally, depending on demand, physical distribution and manufacturing of the album will also be considered.

The deadline will be February 24, 2019, and the application fee will be divided into discounted Early Bird fee (ending January 27, 2019) and Standard fee (ending February 24, 2019).

Each applicant/composer will have the opportunity to submit more than one work and the required material should include: the recording, the score (where available), notes about the composition, the composer’s biography and a small photo of the composer.

For more information and to submit your work visit the Call Official Page.
