Rick NEWS, RMN RECORDS

Falling Doves are ecstatic to announce their sophomore album, Doves of War, which will be released September 16 via RMN  Records with a fifteen date rock tour through the UK, Netherlands and Germany to promote the album. The Spitting Pips from (Wales) will serve as supporting act for the tour.

Born from Hollywood’s jaded streets of Sunset, Christopher Leyva, Mike Dorsey, Clint Feddersen, and Kyle Mueller make up the Falling Doves who all share a passion for reviving classic rock with  a modern  twist on today’s pop music.

In the past two years, the Falling Doves have taken their music on a trip throughout the west coast. They’ve played to ever-increasing crowds, bigger and louder each time; opening for acts such as Gilby Clark, (Guns and Roses) Echo & The Bunnymen, Scott Russo (Unwritten Law), Sidhharta, Story of the Year and Alien Ant Farm. Since then the band has managed to take over the Southern California and the Las Vegas Music Scene.

  • The Falling Doves 2015 Wildcard Fall Tour took Europe by surprise. Where they were invited to the famous Cavern Club in Liverpool for a four-night showcase.
  • Their acclaimed debut album, Ready to Go, picked up substantial airplay around the globe. The album was nominated for Best Pop Album at the 2014 San Diego Music Awards.
  • Their new album Doves of War, was Produced in part by Rick Parker of (BRMC, Scott Weiland, Lord Huron, and the Dandy Warhols), and Skyler Lutes in San Diego with additional production by Jason Hill from (Louis XIV, Jett, The Killers, Muse, and Bowie).

The new album is  an unpredictable mix of garage rock and pop infusions  from a band that doesn’t know how to play it safe. Doves of War will bring their old fans and new into the abyss of The Falling Doves most multifarious record to date, encompassing elements of Love, Sex  and Rock & Roll.

About The Documentary

The band will be filming a documentary for NETFLIX recreating the Beatles 1960 Journey from Liverpool to Hamburg Germany commemorating 56 years since the Beatles arrival in Hamburg. The Documentary will follow the journey of two bands from different backgrounds, The Falling Doves (Hollywood) and The Spitting Pips (Wales) and as they discover today’s emerging music scene, history and the development of both cities through the eyes of young bands & the people that were there. Along with veterans and local Icons  & some familiar living legends and residents of both Hamburg and Liverpool. The documentary promises to show Liverpool and Hamburg as not only the cities that gave us the Beatles but a creative mecca for the arts. The Documentary will also focus on the lesser-known stories of The Reeperbahn, Hamburg that will contrast a nostalgic look at yesterday and the modern day.  Shooting is set to begin in London on the 17th of August and end in the way the Beatles career did with a concert on a Roof  the 30th of August.
